Winter Market Preview

As we hit December 1st we can reflect on a very busy autumn period. The Brixham property market remained strong and a large number of sales were agreed by the Boyce Brixham team. The continued mild weather made house hunting generally pleasurable and we had a tremendously busy time over the half term week with applicants eyeing up potential cottages and holiday bases to enjoy next spring and summer.

On Saturday afternoon, Brixham harbour and town centre was lit up with a magnificent lantern parade and hundreds of locals turned out again enjoying the mild weather. The town is gearing up for Christmas and on Thursday the 4th December there is Christmas late night shopping. The Christmas lights are beginning to be strung up on the older historic trawlers in the harbour and it really is a picture.

We are extremely confident looking into the New Year and expect a strong start with many thinking of marketing early on to avoid general election time in May! We also feel that the new high road once opened will pump great energy into Torbay and Brixham.  Brixham will become a real option for those wanting to work in Exeter but live in the Port with journey times being slashed.

Brixham prices remain sensible and as ever we feel it’s the ‘jewel in Torbay’s crown’!  A town for all seasons with great heart and soul.
