Over the summer months we enjoyed a strong number of sales and the Brixham property market remains solid. There are still a large number of buyers from outside Devon wishing to re-locate and live in the port, whether that is for their retirement years or just a whole new lifestyle.
The businesses around the Harbour generally have had a good summer with numbers visiting the town remaining healthy. One trend my team have noticed is the increase in number of people from Torquay and Paignton coming over to sample the nightlife- a few drinks and a nice meal. This we feel is due to the increase in choice of venues to eat and that the word is out that Brixham is progressing nicely as a destination in all sorts of ways. We appreciate that this is not “plain sailing” but collectively as a community, we can keep this progress continuing. In turn this leads us to people wishing to live in the town.
As we head well into autumn we urge property owners that wish to sell to place a “balanced” asking price on their homes to attract interest over the winter period.
